Corona UPDATE

Regulations and conditions

Train travel in times of Corona

Many railway companies apply special conditions for booked tickets during the period when hardly any international train traffic is possible. Restrictions to control the coronavirus remain very strict in many countries for the time being and travel is discouraged.

Conditions applied by carriers vary enormously. Below you will find an overview of common carriers and the conditions they apply to the tickets they issue (if your carrier is not listed, please contact us). These conditions apply to all train tickets booked through Treinreiswinkel and HappyRail.

If the cancellation is made by us (at your request), in addition to any cancellation fees charged by railway companies, the costs below will apply:

Booking up to € 150 = € 15 administration fee
Booking € 150-250 = € 25 administration costs
Booking € 250-350 = € 35 administration costs
Booking € 350-750 = € 50 administration costs
Booking € 750+ = € 75 administration costs

If your booking is not covered by the arrangements below, you can contact us by e-mail approx. 2-3 weeks before your departure date (in most cases, we do not have any possibility earlier, as special coulance arrangements from the railway companies are not yet known). Please include your booking reference (order reference) in your message. We will then let you know by e-mail what the possibilities are for cancelling your train journey.
