The CityNightLine, the night train of the German railways, has been discontinued. That means there are no night connections anymore between Amsterdam and Munich; Amsterdam and Basel / Zurich; Dusseldorf and Prague; Dusseldorf and Copenhagen. After decades of Deutsche Bahn night trains an era ends.
It's not the end of night trains in Europe: the OBB, the Austria railways, have excellent night trains, the EuroNight, on a extensice network which will be expanded in the next years.
The Euronight operates for example between Dusseldorf and Vienna and from Munich to Rome.
