Major delays on the train track between Cologne and Frankfurt

Updated 30 Oct 10:37

Provisional change to ICE Amsterdam - Frankfurt / Basel timetable and return

Due to emergency repairs at the high-speed line between Cologne and Frankfurt, DB (German railways) will operate with an adjusted timetable until 17 November.

ICE Amsterdam - Basel and return

ICE 105 and ICE 104 run according to the timetable between Amsterdam and Basel SBB.

ICE Amsterdam - Frankfurt and return

All other ICE trains from the Netherlands only run between Amsterdam Central and Cologne and return. Travelers traveling to Frankfurt or beyond can change trains in Cologne to one of the ICE trains that continue on the high-speed route.

Travelers from Frankfurt or more to the south back to the Netherlands can travel with one of the ICE trains that do travel on the high-speed route up to Cologne and then travel on the next ICE train to the Netherlands.

Exceptions to these measures are the ICE trains below, they do run their normal schedule:

• ICE 129 Amsterdam - Frankfurt Mon to and including Sun (departure 16.32 hrs)
• ICE 221 Amsterdam - Frankfurt Hbf Mon to and including Thu and So (departure 6.40 pm)
• ICE 220 Frankfurt - Amsterdam Mon to and including Sun (departure 07.27 hrs)
• ICE 222 Frankfurt - Amsterdam Mon to and including Fri (departure 05.29 am)
