Interrail is valid on all trains of the Spanish Railways (RENFE). Interrail is also valid on narrow gauge services in Galicia (RENFE-FEVE) and suburban services around the big cities (Cercanias and Rodalies). Interrail is not valid on Euskotren services and other narrow-gauge private railways. Many stations in Spain are gated with a check-in and luggage scan. Suburban Cercanias-stations in big cities are fenced with automatic ticket barriers. Upon presentation of you Interrail pass at the ticket window you receive a keycard to open these barriers.
