Almost everything was perfect. The trains connected well, the travel options were convenient, and the hotels were good to excellent. It was nice to be able to choose how many nights we stayed at each location.
The day before the official departure, we took the train to Utrecht and spent the night there because the train to Ulm departed at 8:08 a.m. That meant we'd have to catch the first train from Oisterwijk. If the driver oversleeps or the first train cancels, we'll miss our connection. I don't know if a train departs a little later, otherwise that might be an option. Arriving at the first hotel a little later isn't a big deal. I don't see this as a drawback, but rather a small tip. The rest of the train journey went very smoothly. Almost everything was correct, including departure times and platforms. If it was a bit off, it was the fault of the DB or ÖBB. It was a wonderful trip if you enjoy train travel and culture. We booked hotels in cities with actual sights and experiences, some better than others. IBIS Bregenz, Daniel in Graz, and Vienna were more than adequate. Der Graue Bär in Innsbruck and Trumer Stube were the best. Leonardo in Munich was the least popular, with a narrow bed, but still adequate. A 6. We had a wonderful, well-organized holiday. We had to contact Treinreiswinkel's staff twice. It wasn't their fault, but the fault of Deutsche Bundesbahn. A 10 for the staff, especially when the return journey didn't go as expected. We were in danger of not making it home due to a diversion, which meant we missed an important connection. Via chat, Treinreiswinkel offered me an alternative within fifteen minutes, and they even reserved seats on the alternative route. Will you go on holiday with Treinreiswinkel again? Absolutely! Will you recommend Treinreiswinkel to others? Absolutely!
Have a great trip! The order and number of nights at each location are very convenient. The outward and return journeys are certainly long, but if you're prepared for it, it's manageable.
A very well-organized trip. Interesting cities, excellent hotels, and even the train journeys went (almost) flawlessly. The information about hotels and attractions was good and helpful. In short: compliments to treinreiswinkel.
A fantastic and well-organized 18-day trip to northern Sweden and Norway with many highlights. The itinerary, including the 5-day Hurtigruten cruise, offered plenty of variety and beautiful scenery. The extra days we booked in Abisko, Svolvår, and Bodø allowed for lovely hikes and added a little extra peace and quiet to the itinerary.
