The Venice Simplon-Oriënt-Express is one of the most famous luxury trains in the world. The train connects a number of European cities, such as London, Paris, Venice and Istanbul. The original carriages from 1920 have been carefully restored and bring you into another time period with the comforts of today. With an Art Deco decor, gastronomic indulgence, live entertainment, this train offers you a unique experience.

Suite

On board you´ll have a stylishly furnished two-person private compartment from the 20s, a so-called twin cabin, with beautifully finished, precious woods and shiny copperware. Each compartment has an upper and a lower bed.

Cabin Suite

Two suites connected through a connecting door, creating a compartmentalized suite. You can book these with two people and then either use one suite as a bedroom and the second as a living room or you can both use a downstairs bed in your own suite.

Amenities in the (Cabin) Suite

In your compartment you can use an integrated sink with hot and cold running water and soft towels. During dinner, your steward will transform your compartment into a cozy and comfortable sleeping area for the night. The beds are made with first quality fresh linen. In the compartment you´ll find a 115-230V socket and individually adjustable heating. The spacious toilets are located at the end of each carriage.

Restaurants

The train has three dining cars; Lalique, Etoile du Nord and Chinoise. Here you can enjoy the best of French cuisine. The wine selection surprises even the most spoiled connoisseur. The interior of the dining cars is unique. Lunch and dinner are freshly prepared during the trip by French chefs. The tables are covered with white linen, silver cutlery and crystal glassware. Breakfast, afternoon tea and drinks are served by your personal steward in your private compartment while you enjoy the ever-changing panorama.

Dresscode

Evening wear isn´t mandatory, but men are expected to wear a tie and jacket. Ladies go in a long dress or a cocktail dress. During the day, clothing advice is: casual but elegant.

Bar carriage

In the bar carriage with live piano music, you´re more than welcome for a nice drink and a pleasant meeting with your fellow travelers.
