Switzerland is a train country par excellence. All destinations are easily reached by public transport. Trains run frequently, punctually and to most towns and villages. If a destination is high up in the mountains, it is often unavoidable to travel the last part by bus or cable car. These always connect perfectly with the train. 

Great destinations for a holiday in Switzerland are for example: Rigi, with views over Lake Lucerne; Adelboden, beautiful mountain village in the heart of Switzerland; Zermatt, unique location with the Matterhorn in the background; Bergün, located on the Bernina railway, picturesque. 

Train travel to Switzerland 
Every day, direct trains run from Paris to Basel, Zürich, Geneva, Bern, Interlaken and Lausanne as well from Frankfurt to Basel, Interlaken and Zurich There are connecting services to destinations all over Switzerland.

Summer, May & Spring Break 
All destinations are perfect for the summer and May holidays. Almost all destinations also have a ski resort, although the size varies, for example in Adelboden it's world class, in Bergün it's very small, ideal for small children.
