Travelling from the UK to Brussels or Amsterdam with your bike?
The fastest option is Eurostar from London. A bicycle space must be booked separately from your train ticket via the Eurostar bike reservation service. Availability is limited and only available on selected trains, so book well in advance.

A good alternative is travelling by ferry: Newcastle – IJmuiden, around 20 km from Amsterdam, or Harwich – Hook of Holland, near Rotterdam.

• International Eurocity Direct Amsterdam Zuid – Rotterdam C – Antwerp C – Brussels South/Midi and EuroCity Rotterdam C – Breda – Antwerp C – Brussels South/Midi
• In the summer months it is possible to reserve bike spaces on International Eurocity Direct and Eurocity services towards Antwerp and Brussels
• Stopping train Maastricht – Liège (connection from Liège towards Brussels)
• Stopping train Roosendaal – Antwerp

LUXEMBOURG – TAKE YOUR BIKE
 

• Intercity Brussels – Luxembourg; change recommended at Brussels Midi rather than Brussels North.
• InterRegio Liège – Luxembourg

Bike tickets to and from Belgium and Luxembourg cost € 12 per bike, per one-way journey.

Domestic trains

You can take bicycles on almost all domestic trains (except Eurostar, ICE). The international journey planner does not provide correct bike information; for planning the domestic leg, use the Belgian Railways (SNCB/NMBS) journey planner. In Belgium, it is advisable to inform the conductor before boarding with your bike; they will ensure you can place it in the baggage coach. It is also wise to notify the conductor before alighting so they can open the baggage coach for you on arrival.
