Railjet (RJ) – High-speed trains
Railjet trains run between all major Austrian cities and internationally to Switzerland, Czechia, Germany, Italy and Hungary. They are among the most comfortable trains in Europe, offering three travel classes, free wifi, power sockets, plenty of luggage space and a restaurant car with Austrian and Czech dishes.
Important: Railjet is not the same as RegioJet (private operator).
Booking:
Tickets available via HappyRail. Reservations optional but recommended (also separately for Interrail via our train planner).
2nd class: comfortable seats, adjustable tables, wifi and power sockets. Access to the restaurant car with meals, snacks and drinks.
1st class: spacious leather seats with more legroom. Wifi and power sockets. Drinks and meals from the restaurant car can be served at your seat (not included).
Business class: very comfortable reclining seats with leg and footrests. Only available with a 1st class ticket + business reservation. Includes welcome drink and at-seat service.
