Rail Baltica per high-speed rail: it's coming
11/5/2019

Rail Baltica: a true experience.

Cultures from Northern and Eastern Europe melted together in an age-old candle of extraordinary beauty. The capital cities Riga, Tallin and Vilnius are so beatiful, that they are on the UNSECO World Heritage List. If someone mentions the Baltic states, you will not immediately think of the train. Nevertheless, there is a grand, ambitious European plan for our favorite means of transport: 'Rail Baltica'.

The project that's led by RB Rail, will connect Berlin, Warsaw, Vilnius, Riga and Tallin with Helsinki in Finland. It will, however, even go on to the Vantaa airport. The railway will be about 700 km long and as Vilnius is a little out of the way, it'll be connected with Rail Baltica through its current railways.

Besided Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, Finland announced this year they'll be joining the project. Brace yourself, because in 2030 you can travel in only a few hours with a high-speed train from Berlin to Helsinki, all over land, parallel to the Baltic Sea.
