Reasons to travel by train
12/21/2019

The end of 2019 is nearing and that means only one thing: it’s time to determine good intentions fort he next year. We think that more train journeys should be included! But why would you travel by train? Here all the reasons to travel (even more) by train in 2020.

You’ve got a lot of room for freedom of movement! You can stretch your legs wherever and whenever you want. You can get a breath of fresh air at every station and you will come across, so you’ll continue to feel fresh throughout your journey.

It’s much better for the environment than flying or driving. Did you know, for example, that the train from Amsterdam to London can carry six to seven times more passengers than an average plane? An international train journey also emits on average two to four times less CO2 than a car with two people and emits seven times less CO2 than a flight to the same destination.

The landscape keeps changing in front of you. This way you not only won’t ever get bored, but you also see a lot of a country!

In night trains you’ve got a nice bed. This mainly means that you do not have to sit tight in your chair if you want to close your eyes for a while. You can lie down with a blanket and in some trains even have a shower before sleeping.

Often, there is no passport control! This way you can avoid long queues and you can sit comfortably in your chair before you know it: you won’t have to think about anything else. Once the passport check is done, you can do this from the comfort of your home.

You can (on most trains) take as much luggage as you want. The only important thing to remember is that you’re able to carry it yourself once you get of the train.

There is a bar. That way you won't have to wait for your drink and you won't have to stop en route.

On most trains, there’s Wi-Fi on board. This way you can stay efficient for your job while on the road. Another bonus: your children will also be entertained during the journey.
