Haarlem - Zandvoort aan Zee

The train between Haarlem and Zandvoort aan Zee is unique, because it is the only train that runs through the sand dunes. In the past, trains from Zandvoort ran all the way to Maastricht and in summer even to Luxembourg, but nowadays the train only runs between Haarlem, Overveen and Zandvoort aan Zee.

This ride is absolutely worthwhile: especially if you're planning a day at the beach.

Almere Centrum - Lelystad

The railways in Flevoland are relatively new and that explains why you can easily travel from Almere to Lelystad.

The journey goes largely along the Oostvaardersplassen. It is said that the view of this nature area is better from the trains than when traveling through it by bicycle or foot.  There is a chance of seeing wildlife if you have a sharp eye.

Liège - Luxembourg

Between Liège and Luxembourg you travel by train in just three hours through the most beautiful part of the Ardennes. Here the train travels through beautiful parts of nature and your eyes fall on the beautiful forts that you pass. It is highly advisable to step out from time to time so that you can admire these forts from up close.

Utrecht - Maastricht

On the route between Utrecht and Maastricht, you cross the most beautiful rivers and some wonders of nature. Once in Maastricht you'll get the holiday feeling because of all the cute alleys and streets. Not done with train journeys? Then take the train from Maastricht to Heerlen via Valkenburg aan de Geul! Here you can make beautiful hikes in the hills.
