There's almost no better way to visit Innsbruck than by train. From the train station you walk straight into the historic center, where you'll find your hotel as well. As you stroll through the streets it becomes increasingly clear how special this city actually is: it's located in the middle of the mountains. The picturesque background is just one of the many things that make the city so special. You can stroll through the charming streets to one of the many museums or churches Innsbruck has to offer: the Tiroler Landesmuseum and the Innsbruck Cathedral for example. The Hofburg and the Hofkerk are also worth a visit. Although the city has more than enough to offer, you can easily take one of the cable cars nearby to visit one of the mountains that surround the city as well. In the winter, many hotels offer ski passes and you can even ski in the area. This makes a city break to Innsbruck a good idea for every season.
