Clothing
Evening wear isn´t mandatory in this environment, but guests are expected to appear at the table in appropriate attire. Gentlemen wear a tie and jacket, ladies a neat dress. During the day, clothing advice is: casual, with light, comfortable leisure wear and hats during the excursions.
History
Rohan Vos, founder and owner of Rovos Rail, has over the years many carriages, dating from around 1930 carefully restored and completely in the ambience and romance of the Victorian era brought me lots of wood and beautiful paneling.
Result
The preliminary result: three nostalgic looking, but modern equipped trains that cross Southern Africa today. They´re pulled by steam, diesel or electric locomotives. Two of the three trains each have the capacity for 72 guests. The third train can accommodate 42 guests.
