Day 1

Travel by Eurostar and ICE to Berlin. Overnight stay near Berlin Hauptbahnhof.

Day 2

Continue by train to Gdańsk. Overnight stay in Gdańsk.

Day 3

Time to visit Gdańsk, a Hanseatic city on the Baltic Sea. Visit the harbour with the Crane Gate, also known as the Żuraw. You can also explore the surrounding area, for example the Baltic coast.

Day 4

Travel by train to Warsaw. Overnight stay in a *** hotel in the city centre. Visit the rapidly restored Old Town with the Royal Route and the Royal Castle, as well as Rynek Starego Miasta, the Old Market Square. Since the fall of communism, Warsaw has developed into one of the most dynamic cities in Europe.

Day 5

Travel by high-speed train to Kraków in approximately 2.5 hours. Overnight stay in a *** hotel in Kraków's Old Town.

Day 6

Sightseeing in Kraków. Nowhere else can you experience the history of the Middle Ages and the Second World War quite like here.

Day 7

Free day in Kraków. The impressive Wieliczka Salt Mine is a fascinating half-day excursion from the city.

Day 8

Another free day in Kraków. You may wish to take a full-day excursion to Auschwitz-Birkenau.

Day 9

Travel by direct train to Wrocław. In the late afternoon, there is time to visit Wrocław; for example, search for the many bronze dwarfs around the city. Overnight stay in Wrocław.

Day 10

Travel by train to Dresden. Overnight stay in Dresden.

Day 11

Return by ICE and Eurostar to London or your preferred railway station in Great Britain.
