Finland has an excellent railway network. Travel on comfortable overnight trains from the major cities in the south to the far north, for example from Helsinki to Kolari or from Tampere to Rovaniemi. You can also travel on the daily train between Helsinki and St. Petersburg. The journey from the UK takes you via Stockholm, followed by an overnight ferry to Helsinki, making the journey itself part of the experience.
