Day 1

Travel by Eurostar from London St Pancras to Paris. Transfer by Metro from Gare du Nord to Gare Montparnasse and continue by TGV to the historic city of Tours. Stay at Le Grand Hôtel de Tours***, ideally located opposite the railway station and within easy walking distance of the historic centre.

Days 2–3

Enjoy two free days to explore the beautiful Loire Valley. Wander through the charming old town of Tours, with its lively squares and beautifully preserved half-timbered houses.

Tours is the perfect base for visiting the Loire Valley's famous châteaux by train and local public transport. Within an hour you can reach the magnificent castles of Chenonceau, Amboise, Blois, Saumur and Chinon, as well as the historic cities of Angers and Le Mans. Your travel documents include suggestions for day trips using public transport.

Day 4

Return by TGV to Paris around midday. Transfer by Metro to Gare du Nord for your Eurostar journey back to London St Pancras.
