Day 1
By ICE via Hamburg and Schwerin to Wismar , one of the most beautiful Hanseatic cities on the Baltic Sea, with a beautifully restored car-free city center featuring churches, squares, alleys, an old harbor, and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Overnight stay in Wismar.
Day 2
Via Rostock to Stralsund , also a UNESCO World Heritage Site, located on an island in the Baltic Sea. Overnight stay at, for example, the Intercity Hotel.
Halfway between Wismar and Rostock, you can get off in Bad Doberan and take the "Molli" steam train to Bad Kühlungsborn and back (optional, tickets for sale on site).
Day 3
Explore Stralsund or visit the island of Rügen with its chalk cliffs, seaside resorts, and beautiful beaches. Good public transport connections. Trains and buses every hour to all places.
Day 4
Back to the Netherlands by ICE with one transfer in Berlin.
