Vienna and motorail
Motorail trains run from Vienna to several destinations in Europe. Vienna has always been a popular destination for DB Autozug, but since the discontinuation of DB Autozug the offer has been variable. Since a few years, the ÖBB, the Austrian railways, has again set up an excellent network for car trains. From Vienna there are night trains with car transport to Split in Croatia, Livorno on the Tuscan coast and Feldkirch on the Austrian-Swiss border.

Vienna is of course an ideal departure station for residents of Vienna and its environs, but it is also only a few hours' drive for travellers from Hungary, for example. For travellers travelling to Vienna, the location is good because of its proximity to Hungary and beyond.
