The Golden Eagle is the most luxurious private train in Russia. You travel with up to 100 passengers in style through beautiful landscapes and along remote destinations. During the trip you´ll get acquainted with the local history and culture. You can get acquainted with the people and experience up close what their life is like.
Most nights you´ll stay in the train, occasionally you´ll stay in a luxury hotel. There are Russian style dining cars where you can enjoy a mix of Russian and Western cuisine. Interesting lectures take place regularly in the bar coach. An unforgettable journey to say at least!
Silver Class
Surface area - 5,5 m²
Length - 2 m / Width - 2.70 m
Width lower bed - 120 cm
Width upper bed - 85 cm
Bed length 1.90 m
Number of compartments per carriage - 6
The compartments have a private bathroom. The shower area is slightly smaller than that of the Golden Class compartments. Armchair, closet, table by the window, TV with DVD and video player. Bathrobe, slippers and towels and individually adjustable air conditioning.
Gold Class
Surface area - 7 m²
Length - 2 m / Width - 3.60 m
Width lower bed - 135 cm
Width upper bed - 85 cm
Bed length 1.90 m
Number of compartments per carriage - 5
The compartments in the Gold Class are slightly larger than the Silver Class compartments. The sofa can be folded out to a double bed and a single upper bed. The compartments have a private bathroom. The shower area is slightly larger than in the Silver Class compartments. Armchair, cupboard, table by the window, TV with DVD and video player. Bathrobe, slippers and towels and individually adjustable air conditioning.
Imperial Suite
Surface area - 11,1 m²
Length - 2 m / Width - 5.55 m
Bed width - 150 cm
Bed length 1.90 m
Number of compartments per train - 1 (in 1 carriage with 3 Gold Class cabins)
The Imperial Suites are very spacious (twice the size of the Silver Class compartments), have a double bed and separate sitting area. In the Imperial Suite you have a personal butler service. Facilities: Private bathroom, armchair, closet, table by the window, TV with DVD and video player. Bathrobe, slippers, towels and individually adjustable air conditioning.
Restaurant
Three meals per day are served in the Russian-style dining cars: breakfast, lunch and dinner. The dining cars have tables for four persons. There´s no seat reservation. You´re free to choose where and with whom you want to have the meal. The meals are very well catered and tasty, a mix of Russian and Western cuisine. In a few cases during an excursion, a meal is taken outside the train.
In the bar carriage you can relax in comfortable chairs next to the bar. There´s a piano and a small collection of (travel) books and magazines. The bar is open all day and in the evening until the departure of the last guest. In the bar carriage, there are regular activities such as Russian lessons and lectures on local history and culture. Every evening the Tour Manager will give you information about the next day's program.
