About the rail tour
Choose the most comfortable way to travel between the greatest Andalusian cities - Spanish high-speed trains are faster than flying while showing you the typical southern Spanish landscape. Andalusia has a rich history which can still be seen in its cities today, with Arabic and medieval Spanish influences still visible. The tour is available from Madrid, Barcelona and other major stations/airports in Western Europe, with all train tickets, seat reservations and personal hotels included. All available via the Happyrail app, with live support while you travel, this promises to be an unforgettable trip by train!
 

Day 1 - To Spain

From London/Brussels/Paris/Amsterdam: By high-speed trains via Paris to Barcelona. Accommodation in a modern hotel close to Sants main station.

From Barcelona: Transfer by train from the airport to the city center. Accommodation in a modern hotel close to Sants main station.
 
From Madrid: Transfer by train from the airport to the city center. Accomodation in a modern hotel close to Atocha train station.

Day 2 - Cordoba

By AVE high-speed train directly to Cordoba. Enjoy the Spanish countryside gliding by from your reserved, comfortable seats, and visit the dining car for lunch. Cordoba has buildings stemming from both the Roman, Arabic and Spanish eras. The Mezquita cathedral was converted from a mosque when the Spanish conquered the city. You stay in a tradtional hotel in the city center.

Day 3 - Cordoba

Day 4 - to Sevilla

After breakfast, the high-speed train takes to you Sevilla, which only takes an hour. You stay in a modern hotel close to the train station. Sevilla is full of heritage and tradition. The old inner city is charming, with small streets like in the Santa Cruz district, and large squares and parks. The city is extremely lively, and enjoyers of dance, music, art or cuisine will always have something to do: enjoy a Flamenco performance, have tapas at a local bar, or visit one of the many exhibitions.

Days 5-6 - Sevilla

Day 7 - to Granada

By high-speed train to the beautiful and interesting city of Granada, where you arrive in the late morning to early afternoon and stay in a modern hotel in the old city center. Granada is unique as it was under Islamic rule much longer than any other city in Spain, and this can still be seen in the interesting mix of Moorish architecture and heritage. For example in the Alhambra, the huge temple complex built by Moorish leaders with some of the best-preserved collection of Islamic art and relics in Europe. Many buildings are now listed as UNESCO World Heritage. During your visit, enjoy a cup of traditional tea on one of the Moorish teterías.

Day 8 - Granada

Day 9 - To Barcelona or Madrid

After breakfast the direct AVE-high speed train, with dining car, takes you in about 4 hours to Madrid or 6,5 hours to Barcelona. 

Day 10 - return trip

From Barcelona: transfer by local train from Barcelona-Sants main station to El Prat airport, or take the high-speed train to Paris (and additionally onwards to the station of your choice).
 
From Madrid: transfer by local train from Madrid-Atocha station to Bajaras airport.
