Day 1

Travel by Eurostar from London St Pancras to Paris. Transfer by Metro to Gare de Lyon and continue in the afternoon by direct TGV to Barcelona. Overnight stay near Barcelona Sants station, for example at Hotel Abba Sants.

Day 2

Continue your journey by high-speed AVE to Córdoba in Andalusia, arriving early in the afternoon. The magnificent Mezquita-Cathedral is well worth a visit. Overnight stay in a characteristic hotel in the historic centre, for example Hotel Maimonides or Los Patios.

Day 3

In the morning, travel by train to Algeciras. After checking in at the ferry terminal, a transfer bus takes you to Tarifa. Cross to Africa in around one hour by high-speed ferry. Overnight stay in Tangier, close to the beach and the Medina, for example at Hotel Palais Zahia.

Day 4

Travel inland by train from Tangier to Fez, one of Morocco's four imperial cities and one of the country's most authentic destinations. Spend the day exploring the UNESCO-listed medina with its thousands of narrow streets. Overnight stay in a charming 3-star riad or hotel in the medina, for example Palais d'Hôtes.

Day 5

Free day in Fez. Alternatively, take the train to nearby Meknes, another of Morocco's imperial cities, which is easy to explore independently.

Day 6

Direct train from Fez to Marrakech. Overnight stay in a beautiful riad or 3-star hotel in the historic centre, close to Jemaa el-Fna Square, for example Riad Les Hibiscus.

Day 7

Free day to explore Marrakech at your own pace.

Day 8

Travel by train from Marrakech to Casablanca. Continue by Morocco's high-speed train (Africa's first high-speed railway, up to 320 km/h) to Tangier. Cross back to Spain by high-speed ferry and stay overnight in Algeciras, for example at Hotel Reina Cristina.

Day 9

Morning train to Antequera, then continue by high-speed AVE to Barcelona. Overnight stay at a 3-star hotel near Barcelona Sants station.

Day 10

Travel by high-speed TGV to Paris in the morning. Transfer by Metro to Gare du Nord and continue by Eurostar to London St Pancras.
