Day 1: Banff of Lake Louise - Kamloops

You´ll board the Rocky Mountaineer early in the morning in Banff or Lake Louise. Along the snow-capped peaks of the Canadian Rockies, over high mountain passes and through tunnels that are part of the rich railroad history of the Canadian Rockies, along winding rivers and through peasant landscapes.

The highlights are the Spiral Tunnels, the Kicking Horse Canyon, the climb over Rogers Pass and of course the glaciers and snow-capped peaks of the Canadian Rockies. You´ll arrive at the beginning of the evening in Kamloops. Here you´ll spend the night in a comfortable hotel.

Day 2: Kamloops - Vancouver

You´ll continue the journey early in the morning further west. During the train journey you´ll experience the drastic changes in the landscape. From the desert-like environment of the interior of British Columbia, the large rocks of the "Coast and Cascade" mountains, to the green fields of the Fraser River valley.

Today's highlights are the rivers of Hell's Gate in the Fraser Canyon and the steep cliffs along the Thompson River. The journey ends in the early evening at the train station of bustling Vancouver.
