Day 1: Vancouver - Kamloops

In the morning, board the Rocky Mountaineer at Vancouver train station. During the train journey you´ll experience the drastic changes in the landscape. From the green fields of the Fraser River valley, the wide rivers surrounded by forests, the large rocks of the "Coast and Cascade" mountains, to the desert-like environment of the interior of British Columbia.

Today's highlights are the rivers of Hell's Gate in the Fraser Canyon and the steep cliffs along the Thompson River. You´ll arrive at the beginning of the evening in Kamloops. Here you´ll spend the night in a comfortable hotel.

Day 2: Kamloops - Jasper

Early in the morning you´ll continue the journey to the northeast towards Jasper through the impressive Canadian Rockies and the province of Alberta. The scenery of the North Thompson River and the Monashee and Cariboo mountains will glide by as the train continues to climb towards the highest peaks of the Continental Divide.

Today's highlights include Mount Robson, the highest point in the Canadian Rockies at 3,954 meters, Pyramid Falls and the climb over Yellowhead Pass to Jasper National Park. Your impressive train ride ends in the evening in the mountain town of Jasper.
