Day 1: Jasper - Quesnel
Today you´ll board the Rocky Mountaineer in Jasper. You´ll travel west through the Canadian Rockies and Jasper National Park to the charming Quesnel. You´ll cross the Rocky Mountains Trench with on one side the Rocky Mountains and on the other side the Cariboo Mountains.
Highlights of today's trip are Mount Robson, with 3954 meters the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies, Yellowhead Pass and Moose Lake. The journey continues along Prince George and the Fraser River south to Quesnel. Here you will spend the night in a hotel.
Day 2: Quesnel - Whistler
Early in the morning you´ll board the train again. Enjoy the breathtaking and varied landscape, the hills of the Cariboo Plateau, the desert-like landscape of Fraser Canyon, the peasant landscape of Pemberton Valley and the wild rivers.
Today's highlights include Anderson Lake, Seton Glacier Lake, the view of Fraser Canyon and Deep Creek Bridge, one of the highest railroad bridges in the world. Breakfast and lunch are served aboard the train. The final destination for today is Whistler. Overnight stay at the hotel in Whistler.
Day 3: Whistler - Vancouver
In the morning you´ll have time to explore the town of Whistler on your own. In the afternoon you´ll board the Rocky Mountaineer for the final leg to Vancouver.
The highlights during this trip are the snow-capped peaks of Whistler, Cheakamus Canyon, Brandywine Falls, Mount Garibaldi, Shannon Falls and the fantastic views of the West Vancouver skyline and Stanley Park. A meal is served on board in the afternoon. The train journey ends in Vancouver.
