Day 1: Vancouver - Whistler

In the morning you´ll board the Rocky Mountaineer in Vancouver. Today's trip goes to Whistler, one of North America's most famous ski resorts. The highlights of this trip are the fantastic views of the West Vancouver skyline and Stanley Park, Shannon Falls, Mount Garibaldi, Brandywine Falls and the impressive Cheakamus Canyon.

Have breakfast on board of the train. In the early afternoon, you´ll arrive in Whistler, where you´ll be transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is for leisure. Overnight stay in a pleasant hotel in Whistler.

Day 2: Whistler - Quesnel

Early in the morning you board the train again. Today you´ll travel from Whistler to the charming Quesnel. Enjoy the breathtaking and diverse landscape, the wild rivers and farmland of Pemberton Valley, the desert-like landscape of Fraser Canyon and the hills of Cariboo Plateau.

Highlights on this trip include Lake Anderson and Glacier Lake Seton, the view of Fraser Canyon and Deep Creek Bridge, one of the highest railroad bridges in the world. Breakfast and lunch will be served aboard the train. You´ll spend the evening in Quesnel.

Day 3: Quesnel - Jasper

The journey aboard the Rocky Mountaineer continues today through the Canadian Rockies and Jasper National Park. The train travels along the Fraser River to the north. You´ll pass the town of Prince George and continue eastwards through the forests of British Columbia, home to the moose. When the train crosses the Rocky Mountains Trench you´ll see the Rocky Mountains in the north and the Cariboo Mountains in the south.

The climb continues along Mount Robson, the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies at 3,954 meters altitude and through the Yellowhead Pass to the province of Alberta. The train journey ends in Jasper.
