Day by day
Day 1
Travel by Eurostar from London to Paris, then continue by TGV to Basel. Overnight in a 3-star hotel near Basel SBB station, for example Hotel Metropol.
Day 2
In the morning, travel from Basel to Zurich before boarding the EuroCity train through the Alps to Milan. Continue by Frecciarossa high-speed train to Florence, arriving in the early evening. Stay in a 3-star hotel in the city centre, for example Hotel Beatrice.
Day 3
Free day in Florence. Explore its world-famous churches, museums, palaces and squares, all within easy walking distance.
Day 4
Travel in around two hours by train from the centre of Florence to the heart of Venice. Stay in a 3-star hotel in the historic centre, for example Hotel Tintoretto.
Day 5
Free day to explore Venice. Wander through its narrow streets, admire its historic buildings and discover its famous canals.
Day 6
Early in the afternoon, depart by EuroCity train to Munich, following a scenic route through the Italian and Austrian Alps via the Brenner Pass. Arrive in Munich in the evening. Overnight in a 3-star hotel near the main railway station, for example Hotel Europäischer Hof.
Day 7
Travel by TGV to Paris and continue to London by Eurostar.
