Pre-booking
- The Saver Day Passes are only available when booking in advance: from 60 days in advance up to and including the day before intended travel. They can't be booked on the day of travel
- You can already order the pass if it is not yet available online, so more than 60 days in advance - we call it a pre-booking: we book the pass for you when it becomes available at the best price. We will then immediately send you the passes by e-mail and we will refund the difference if a difference is applicable.
Conditions
- Cancellation fee is 100%, no refund nor changes after booking
- Swiss Saver Day Passes are available with or without a Swiss Half Fare Card
- Also, these passes are valid on the selected day up until 5 a.m. the following day on routes in the GA travelcard area (General Abo)

Free seating
For almost all Swiss trains it's not necessary to book a seat reservation, even when it's possible. Reservations for domestic Intercity-, EuroCity- and ICE-trains can be ordered in advance and cost €4,50 p.p, but it's not common. Most domestic travelers will just pick a free seat. Even at rush hour it's usually no issue to find seating.
Compulsory reservations
For some panorama routes seat reservations are compulsory or highly recommended.

- Reservations are not compulsory but recommended for the Golden Pass-train from Montreux to Zweisimmen and Interlaken to Lucerne (ca. €5 per train)

Bernina Railway Chur-Tirano
Famous railroad over the Albula and Bernina passes (UNESCO World Heritage).
