How to book train tickets to Copenhagen

Train tickets from Germany starts from €29,- one way. Both International and Domestic train tickets are bookable three months before departure. Connecting tickets from Germany to Sweden starts from €39,- one way. 

How to travel by train to Copenhagen

Travel to Copenhagen from €29 

The Danish capital Copenhagen is connected with Hamburg with 3 to 5 daily ICE and EuroCity-trains. These trains take the ferry from Roedby to Puttgarden, one of the three remaining train-ferry services in Europe. From Copenhagen there are connecting services from and to Sweden (Göteborg, Stockholm and Malmö). Danish Intercity trains run from Copenhagen up to the German border town of Flensburg and local trains operate from Esjberg to Niebüll. In the summer months a direct night train is provided between the Swedish city of Malmö and Berlin, this train uses the Trelleborg-Sassnitz ferry.

Airport Connection

The following connections are availalble to get from the airport to the city center of Copenhagen:
From Copenhagen Airport: There are metro, train and bus services from the airport to the city center of Copenhagen. Tickets can be bought from the ticketmachines on the airport or at the railway station. Single tickets from the airport to the city costs around the €3,30. 
M2 Metro (7 days a week) departs every 4 to 6 minutes during daytime and takes you in 13 minutes to Norreport Station which is in the center of city. 
Train (7 days a week) From the airport terminal you can take a free shuttle bus to the train station which is about 5 minutes journey time. Trains run every 10 minutes during daytime and take you in 13 minutes to the city center. 
Bus 5a (7 days a week) departs every 10 minutes and take you in 30 to 35 minutes into the city center.

Single journeys and Day- or Week Travelcards: Single journey tickets are for sale at the railway station in Copenhagen and ticketshops. Costs for one way ticket for two zones is about €3,30 and for all zones €14,60. If you are staying longer in Copenhagen you can choose to buy a Copenhagen Card 24h, 48h, 72h and 120 hour card. With the Copenhagen Card you have several benefits such as free admission to 73 sights, free usage on most public transport (bus, train and metro), discounts on restaurants and bringing two children under the 10 years old for free.
